seeing as I haven't posted a journal since last june I thought I'd put something up...

I had a great summer. I'll briefly summarize; started out by going to Colorado/New Mexico and hiking for 12 days at Philmont covering ~110 miles in total. It was a lot of fun, and I have some great pictures from it up here, [link] I also traveled down to the Caribbean, Bonaire in particular, [link] I spent a week at camp aldersgate with my friends sailing. And those were pretty much the highlights of my summer. Now I'm back at school, and struggling through the start of school. I have some really good teachers and also some bad ones. This year I'm currently the senior patrol leader of my boy scout troop, and with that comes a lot of work. It's not as easy as you might think to run a group of 40 rambunctious boys. I got accepted into the National Honor Society and actually have the ceremony two days from now. I guess probably the most exciting thing going on in my life write now is I'm struggling to find and decide where I want to spend the next four years of my life. College. It's something I'm really looking forward to. But before I get there, I have to get accepted, and that means that my grades are something to be concerned with. Luckily report cards just came in, and it turns out that I didn't do as poorly as I thought I did. I am taking the SAT's this Saturday, and I hope that I'll do really well. My goal is to get at least a 760 on math and a 730 on Critical Reading. I know I'm not going to do that well on English, so I don't really care that much about it. I could definitely manage to get an 800 on math if I don't make any stupid mistakes, but that's never happened before.

So yeah, that's pretty much my life as it stands right now.
